She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Nelson and Diane Nelson (Kopp); her husband Tom Smalla; her children, Steve VanSparrentak (Kelly) of Alamo Twp, Brandi Leonard (Kevin Kahl) of Gobles, Beth Covault (Eric) of Byron Center and Sarah DeJonge (Jimmy) of Kalamazoo; and her siblings, Vicki Chenelle, Maryann Bowman (Dan), Chris Leroy (Terry), Bill Markus, Bob Markus (Lynda) and Dale Nelson. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations in Deb's memory may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
