He was predeceased by: his parents, Santiago Castaneda and Amelia Castaneda (Lopez); and his siblings, Willie, Victor, Junior and Juan.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Eshbaugh; his children, David Jr. Castaneda (Mandy) of Allegan, Cristina Castaneda (Thong Xayphannha) of Kalamazoo, Miguel Castaneda of Allegan, Manuel Castaneda (Elsa) of Allegan and Marcos Castaneda of Otsego; his grandchildren, Collin, Mateo, Anastasia and Sebastian; and his siblings, Jimbo, Rickey, Freddy and Albert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Contributions in memory of David may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
