She was predeceased by: her parents, James Deaton and Laveva Deaton (Thaxton); her nephew Larry; and her siblings, Bill, Barb, Betty and According.
She is survived by: her husband William Taylor; her children, Susan Cowels of Kalamazoo and Robert Taylor (Julie) of Plainwell; her grandchildren, Carla Maurer (Brian) of Mattawan, Cory Taylor (Skye) of Martin, Casey Taylor (Sammie) of Hopkins, Eric Branch and Lindsey Stanfill (Dillion); her great grandchildren, Lilah, Chase, Grady, Emmy, Ethan, Keegan, Gleena, Logan and Lilly; and her sisters, Nancy Fry (Bob) of Otsego and Pat LaFountain of Allegan.
A private family burial will take place at Hicks Cemetery in Watson Township with Pastor Joe Shaler officiating.Contributions in memory of Carolyn may be made to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
