He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Sweet and Alice Sweet (Prolo); his wife Nada Nilsen; his children-in-law, Danelle Sweet and Harry W. Try; and his brothers, Edwin Sweet and Charles Sweet.
He is survived by: his children, LaRayne Sweet, Genni Plyley (Tom), Beth Randall (Bob) and John Alvin Dennis Sweet; his grandchildren, Patricia McNees (Brandon), Ryan Goodacre, Tamara Goodacre, Adam Sweet, Devon Plyley, Jenna Collins, Amanda Lawrence, Jordan Kellerman, Dana Plyley, Alexis Schmitt, Xander Sweet and Zane Sweet; and his siblings, Wanita Johnson (Richard) and Norman Sweet. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
