He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Bess and Eleanor Bess; his wife Lorraine Palmer; his daughter Jill; and his siblings, Betty Scotthorn, Isabelle Howard, Robert Bess, Charlie Bess and Larry Bess.
He is survived by: his children, Jeniffer Pocza (Allen) and Brian Bess (Sara); his grandchildren, Erika, Brett (Samantha), Sydney and Aaron; his great grandchildren, Austin, Avery and Preston; his siblings, Kenneth Bess (Margaret), Carolann Erhardt, Sherry Kay Rezler (Raichard), Connie Joe Samiford, Jack Bess, Kathy Mendel and Linda Sasser (Don); and his sisters-in-law, Eloanne Phillips (Dale), Sharron Pappenheimer and Connie Frank (William). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and special friends.
