She was predeceased by: her parents, Laverne Uptegraff and Rose Uptegraff (Jaroszyk); and her son-in-law Doug Wilcox. She is survived by: her close friend Mary Knox; her husband Robert "Bob"; her children, Denise Wilcox and Vince Scharich; her grandchildren, Chrissy Sarles (Andy) and Shawn Lich; and her great grandchildren, Kayla, Noreen, Andrew Sarles, Kathirin and Kora Lich. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, in Ruth's name.
