He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Bays and Rita Bays (Saladin); and his siblings, Lynn, David Bays and Shirley Lundquist.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly J. Gauthier; his children, Nicole Zann (David) of Commerce Twp, MI and Scott Bays (Amber) of Alpena, MI; his grandchildren, Amelia Zann, Ethan Zann and Nolan Bays; and his brother Victor Bays of Alpena, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
