He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Kemnitz and Ottilie Kemnitz (Seegar); and his siblings, Elsie Kihn, Martha Kemnitz, Emma Canfield, Adeline VanNocker, Barbara DeVore, Eunice Nannberg, Albert Kemnitz, Edward Kemnitz and Ernest Kemnitz.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys; his children, Erich Kemnitz (Karin) of Northville, MI, Michael Kemnitz (Caroline) of Beverly Hills, MI, Karl Kemnitz (Amber) of Maroa, IL and Laura Edwards (David) of Holland, MI; and his grandsons, Aaron Kemnitz, Benjamin Kemnitz, David Edwards Jr., Connor Edwards, Braden Crosby and Ansel "Leo" Kemnitz.
