She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Nichols and Faye Nichols (Carpenter); her husband William "Bill" Newell; and her siblings, Jake, John, Howard, Bill, Glenn, Chuck, George, Bernard, Dorothy, Berdine, Wilma, Willa, Shirley, Freda, Jane and Janet.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Newell (Dianne) of Jonesville and James "Jim" Newell (Judy) of Jackson; her granddaughters, Carolyn Clark (Mike), Tammy Andrews (Steve), Jennifer Kittle (Darren) and Gina Newell; her great grandchildren, Kayla Bruhnsen (Christian), Laura Blair (James), Savannah Walukonis (Justin), Dustin Andrews (Desiree), Shannen Vichinsky (Kevin) and Shad Kittle; her great great grandchild Rolleigh Blair; and her sister Joan Sawdey of Osseo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
