He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John J. Eakins and Ethel Jane Eakins (Leffew); his wife Janet Casler; his children, Sandy Swanson (Mike), Stan Eakins and Larry Eakins (Bonnie); his friend Boyd; and his grandchildren, Eric Swanson, Ariel Hulett (Eric), Jason Eakins (Misty), Nikki Harvey (Cody), Kelly Verburg, Thomas Laws (Cheryl) and Richard Laws (Heather). He was also cherished by great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
