Edna L. Williams Obituary
In accordance with her wish cremation will take place and a memorial gathering to honor her life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Park Village Pines, Centrica Care Navigators and the Alzheimer's Association, c/o the funeral home.
Age 89, of Oshtemo Twp., MI, passed away on December 16, 2024, at Park Village Pines with loved ones at her side. She was born in Leachville, AR, on August 30, 1935, the daughter of the late Lee Roy and Loner (Gregory) Crittendon. On August 18, 1955, she married the love of her life, Wayne "Keith" Williams, who preceded her in passing on July 12, 1986. She was also preceded in passing by a son, Brian K. Williams; four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Debbie (David) McCurley; grandchildren, Cristin (Scott) Abernathy, Meghan (Raphael) Tigues; two great-grandchildren, Madelene and Isabel Abernathy; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Edna was kind, generous and had a zest for life. She believed in the power of hard work. For thirty-eight years she owned and operated Williams Café in Barryton, MI. Her passion for cooking and baking would always stay with her and is something she shared with Cristin and Meghan. Edna also enjoyed spending time outdoors, being near water and going fishing with Keith. Together they spent many winters in the warm sun of Long Key, FL. Edna enjoyed going out, liked music and was fond of square and round dancing. Above all she loved her family and was immensely proud of her daughter, granddaughters and great-granddaughters. Her welcoming smile and laughter will be missed by all who loved her.
