He was predeceased by: his parents, John Niko and Frances Bedneriek; his son Robert Welsh; and his great grandchild John Welsh. He is survived by: his wife Frances Marie Niko (Richter); and his children, Steve Niko (Debbie) and Elaine Shugart. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
