With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth C. Rivera of Oscoda, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 2, 2025 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Ross and Florence Ann Liberty (Glaeser); her husband Carmelo Rivera; her daughter Rosemary Renee Rivera; and her siblings, Dorothy Gemmill (Lester) and Bruce Liberty (Fran).
She is survived by: her children, Norma Warah of Oscoda, MI, Paul Rivera (Sharon) of Greenbush, MI, Carol Pelltier (Patrick) of Romeo, MI and Bruce Rivera (Jennifer) of Beverly Hills, MI; her stepson Jose Matias (Betty) of Fraser, MI; her grandchildren, Sara, David, Bethany Rivera, Topher, Jenna Rivera, Alexis, Timothy and Tiffany Pelltier; her great grandchild Elliot Boldin; her nephew Ross Gemmill; and her nieces, Rosemary Golden, Renee Thakali, Adela Rivera and Nilda Guzman.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (5625 US-23, Oscoda, MI 48750).
