She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Near and Violet Near (Barnum); her husband Andrew; her brother Albert Near; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Near.
She is survived by: her children, Ilene Malin (David) of Rockford, Cheryl Phelps (Timm) of Lawton and James Bursick (Tammy) of Vero Beach, Fla.; and her sister Diane Gurd (Steve) of Caledonia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
