He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Getty and Erla Getty (Hatter); and his siblings, Paul Allen, Daniel Russell Getty and Debbie Getty McGuire.
He is survived by: his wife Gail E. Fry; his children, David Getty (Christi) and Melissa (Kevin); his grandchildren, Zachary, Emily and Matthew; his stepdaughter Lisa Gale; his stepgrandsons, Alex and Justin; his siblings, Sherry, Judy and Brian Getty; and his aunt Virginia Jennings. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
