He is survived by: his wife Judy Ruegsegger; his daughter Nikki Painter Stilwell (Phil); his grandson Hunter Stilwell of Midland; his son Eric Painter of Grand Ledge; and his grandchildren, Lauren Painter of Grand Rapids and Mitchell Painter of Ann Arbor.
