She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry McKerring and Marion McKerring (McKeon); her siblings, Judy Dean, Daniel, David and Timothy McKerring; her in-laws, Gerald and Alvina Reitler; and her son-in-law Jim Pehrson.

She is survived by: her husband James G. Reitler; and her siblings, John H McKerring (Sharon) of San Diego, CA and Nancy E. McKerring of Winston-Salem, NC. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (5300 N Huron Rd, Oscoda, MI 48750). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
