It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Madeline Newman of Oscoda, Michigan, born in Alpena, Michigan, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Joslin and Mabel Joslin (Colline); her husband Francis Newman; and her sons, Kenneth VanVolkenburg and Marvin Gauthier.
She is survived by: her children, Linda and Linwood VanVolkenburg; and her grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Jamie Johnson, TJ Johnson, Tiyonia Brewer (Daniel), Augusta VanVolkenburg and Danielle VanVolkenberg.
