He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Jones and Edith Jones (Werth); his wives, Mary and Karen; and his siblings, Gary Jones, Mike Jones, Bob Jones, Marilyn Baumgarten, Joyce Redman, Verne Jones and Joanne Basler.

He is survived by: his children, David Jones (Jeanine), Patrick Jones and Lisa Czarnik (Al); his grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, Jeremy, Karic and Rory; his great grandchildren, Lincoln, Colton, Lillian, Morgan, Ruby, Deacon and Isla; and his sister Linda Springer (Dave).

“Dave taught me how to play baseball as a kid, he was three years older than me, at times we would shoot our pellet guns at targets we set up in the fields near where we lived and we would play cards with other boys in Dave's front yard, many years later I was checking on a house I was having built and there was Dave digging the basement with a new crane he had just bought...never Forgot Dave, one of the nicest guys I ever knew.....Clyde LaForest.”
