He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ellis N. Stewart and Myrtle E. Stewart (McGuire); his daughters, Amy Abraham (Christopher) of Greenbush and Missy Peace (Rich Nelson) of Oscoda; his grandchildren, Devon, Lizah Abraham, Daisy, Michael and Liam Peace; his great grandchild RozeLynn Sarge; and his siblings, Marjory Warlick, Rhonda Melling, Paul Stewart (Kay), Duane Stewart (Bonnie), Delbert Stewart (Linda), Brad Stewart (Bambi), James Stewart (Lisa), Karen Stewart and Joan Anderson. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
