With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anna Irene Toppa of Oscoda, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 8, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Duncan McDonald and Vera McDonald (Maloney); her husband Arthur J. Toppa; her sisters, Carolyn Moreau and Margaret Boes; and her grandsons, Steven Davio and Derek Toppa.

She is survived by: her children, Carole Davio (Joseph), Art Toppa (Tracey), Julie Patterson (Randy), Mary Ann Huddas (Robert) and James Toppa; and her grandchildren, Andrew Davio (Emily), Nicholas Davio, Dawnne Smith (Bryan), Brian Patterson, Anne Patterson, Laura Ammel (Ryan), Kaitlyn Gasque, Lindsay Toppa and James Toppa. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The Epilepsy Foundation or to Compassus Hospice.
