He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Dougherty and Betty Dougherty; and his father-in-law Richard Ohlenkamp. He is survived by: his wife Carla; his siblings, Ann McDonald (Bern) of Pittsburgh, PA, Kathy Poindexter (Gary) of West Lafayette, Mike Dougherty (Karin) of Lowell, Tom Dougherty (Becky) of Avon, IN, Joy Dougherty of Lowell and John Dougherty (Angela) of Humble, TX; his mother-in-law Charlotte Ohlenkamp; and also, Cheryl Carroll (Casey) of Greenwood, Roger Ohlenkamp of Crown Point, Richard Ohlenkamp of Cedar Lake, Carol Biggs (Jim) of Chesterton and Robert Ohlenkamp (Karen) of Lowell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
