He is survived by: his wife Penny Guajardo; his children, Abel D. Guajardo II, Norman M. Guajardo and Brooke Leandra Guajardo; his grandchildren, Austin J. Stahl and Nova Lynn Haymon; his sisters, Yolanda Chapa (Bill) and Ruth Gearhart (Harold); and his brother-in-law Dan Schell.
