It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Gross of Orleans, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James E. may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his mother Phyllis Gross; his sister Cynthia "Cindy" Gross; and his niece Connie Clark. He is survived by: his father Jerome J. Gross of Stanton; his sons, James Earl Gross of Stanton and Casey Allen Gross of Orleans; and his siblings, Dennis Gross, Jeffrey (Diane Gross) and Gerianne. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Olson-Kister VFW Post No. 4406 (148 N Bridge St, Belding, MI 48809).
