He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marie Sheaffer and Frederick Sheaffer (Eleanor); his sister Cathy Sheaffer; his stepbrother Charles Smith (Bub); his sister-in-law Lynn Bissell; his wife Deborah; his daughter Heather Zeoli (David); his stepchildren, Sheri Compo, Rene Compo, Tony Compo (Laura), Philip Sinclair (Maria) and Sean Sinclair (Crystal); his grandchildren, John McCanless, Jr., Jaimie McCanless, Jessica McCanless, Dylan Guernsey, Gauge Sinclair, Jakob Sinclair, Brody Sinclair, Portia Sinclair, Bailey Sinclair, Aiden Sinclair, Evin Sinclair, Layla Zeoli and Juniper Compo; his sisters, Patricia Roe (Robert) and Ruth Christiansen (Max); and his stepsiblings, Shirley Christianson, Pam Perrella, Beth Litchfield and Bobby Robinson.
