He was predeceased by: his parents, Max McKenzie and Ruth Armstrong; his brother Richard McKenzie (Peggy); and his siblings-in-law, Harold and Lorayne Bliss.
He is survived by: his wife Mary L. McKenzie (Bliss); his children, Cathy A. Howard (Jim) of Mancelona, MI, Susan L. McKenzie (Barry Reeder) of Ferndale, MI and James R. McKenzie (Linda) of Lexington, NC; his grandchildren, Brian Howard (Becky), Chris Howard (Julie), Steve Cammarata (Nikki), Allison Romer (Jeremy), Stephanie Huynh (Dan) and Jamie Rybar (Megan); his great grandchildren, Logan, Lydia, Laina, Emelia, Mackenzie, Charlotte, Reid, Ryder, Max and Owen; and his brother Rodney McKenzie (Nancy).
