It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lona Lana Hakala (Orion Township, Michigan), who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Lyons and Evelyn Lyons; and her brother Lewis Lyons. She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Brian Hakala (Jennifer) and Lora Riethmeier (Christopher); her grandchildren, Rachel Hakala, Jack Hakala (Alli Mills), Ashly Riethmeier (CJ Frey), Paytin Krezewski (David), Rylan Riethmeier and Ruthie Riethmeier; and her great grandchildren, Margaux and Ellowyn.
