He was predeceased by: his parents, Arne Lakkala and Beatrice Lakkala (Hough). He is survived by: his children, Tammie (Jeff) of Greenland, Stephanie (Earl) of Ontonagon and Christopher (Tabatha) of Las Vegas; his brother Floyd of Mass City; and his grandchildren, Kelsi, Amanda, Rudy, Sara, Britni, Tiffany, Ashely, Robert, Tyler, Rachel and Emma. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers or plants, memorials be donated to the Ontonagon Area School Robotics Program, Ontonagon County Animal Protection (OCAP), or the Greenland Township 4th of July committee.
