He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Funke and Myrtle Agnes Funke (Broemer); his sister Helen; his sons, John Paul, Robert and Fritz; his stepchildren, John Strancel Jr. and Mary Lynn Strancel; his grandson Jeremy Funke; and his daughters-in-law, Beverly and Tina Funke.
He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Gladys Funke, Mary Majurin (Don), Gaylord Funke, Peter Funke (Kim), Larry Funke (Lori) and Dan Funke (Paula); his daughter-in-law Florina Funke; his stepdaughters, JoAnn Hickey (Jeff), Beth Fors, Donna Roberts (Reese) and Tammy Strasser (John); and his brothers, Albert, Bernard, Donald and Bill Funke. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 16 step great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren.
