He was predeceased by: his parents, Eino Kaarto and Helen Kaarto of Mass City; his wife Charlotte Pasanen; and his siblings, Gary Kaarto and Marie Alapert.
He is survived by: his daughters, Bonnie Wink (Robert) of Macomb, MI and Sallie Fiore of Utica, MI; his grandsons, Kenneth Wink (Nicole), James Wink (Stephanie), Michael Fiore and Anthony Fiore (Tori); and his sisters, Florence Sandve (Ron) of Cumberland, WI, Jeanette Juntunen (Norman) of Farmington Hills, MI, Joyce Liuska (Don) of Alma, MI and Doris Carlson (Dave) of Nisula, MI. He is also survived by 3 great granddaughters, 2 great grandsons.
