It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Stahl of Ontonagon, Michigan, born in Hancock, Michigan, who passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Judy departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Judy. Though Judy may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Haanela and Martha Haanela; and her sister Shirley Berchi. She is survived by: her husband Tom of Ontonagon; her children, Lori Sulkanen (Jim) of Newnan, Georgia, Joe (Tracy Sorrels) of Grand Forks and Amy Maki (Dave) of Dollar Bay, Michigan; her granddaughters, Taryn and Kendall Maki; her siblings, Carol Hochstein and Lee Haanela; and her pet Zoe. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
