He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Rantala and Lydia Rantala (Keranen). He is survived by: his wife Janice Weza of Ontonagon; his children, Deanna Cassiere (David), Dale Rantala (Lianne), Lynn Hackett (Bruce) and Sheryl Givens (Tim); his grandchildren, Andrew, Alyssa, Aaron, Nathan, Willa and Kysa; and his brother William Rantala (Lillian) of Alston. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
