Sandra "Sandie" H. Mutter, age 84, of Onsted, MI passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on April 17th, 2024, under the care of Hospice.

Sandie was born on March 31st, 1940 to Roy and Gladys (Kreger) Ramsden. Born and raised in Livonia, Michigan, Sandie graduated from Redford Union High School with the class of 1958. She married Jerry Mutter on April 5th, 1961, and together, they had four children, Jeff Mutter, Greg (Michelle Peer) Mutter, Judie (Mike) Phipps, and Roy (Kathy) Mutter. They were also blessed with nine grandchildren, Joni (James) Legg, Mandi Mutter, Justine (Ben) Long, Emily (Tad) Margolies, Tyler (Katie) Mutter, Hannah (Jaret Flynn) Mutter, Nick (Ari Grimmette) Phipps, Madelyn Mutter, Carson Peer and ten great-grandchildren.

Sandie had a number of interests that flowed nicely into her work. One of her favorite roles was a vehicle test driver for American Motors Corp (AMC) at the Michigan International Speedway. She loved a red car, had a heavy foot and was always eager for adventure. Never one to turn down a good road trip, Sandie frequently traveled around the US, often joined by one of her good friends Lona, Gail, or Charlee. International travel was also a passion, leading her to exciting destinations such as China, Italy, France, England, Ireland, and Russia.

Sandie was also an avid reader, enjoying as many as five to eight books each week! Her love of books extended beyond reading. She contributed to her community as a weekly volunteer at the Lenawee District Library for 25 years.

Sandie fully and unconditionally loved her family. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, assuring they knew how loved and important they were. She had a special way of connecting with each child and grandchild individually. Her relationships were genuine and the love shared was mutual.

Always caring and kind, Sandie never failed to lend an open ear or provide comfort and guidance. She was a fountain of knowledge, continually sharing bits of wisdom and fun facts. She encouraged her children and grandchildren to continually learn and explore their interests. There was always something new to learn.

Sandie is survived by her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry, three brothers Stuart Ramsden, Edward Ramsden and Richard Ramsden, and her dear friend, Lona Kozar.
