He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Putman and Rita Putman (Landers); and his siblings, Lynn Renee Putman and Timothy Putman. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Rae Putman (Osmond); his siblings, Pat Putman (Marsha), Jeanene Lyson (James), Cheryl Evard (Kerry) and Marilyn Throne; his children, Tracy Messner, Henry Messner (Beth), Michael Putman Jr. (Michelle), Regina Dick (Charles), Leon Messner (Heidi), Richard Putman (Rachel), Patrick Putman (ReAnn), Timothy Putman (Ashley) and Joshua Putman (Tawney); and his grandchildren, Dakota, Alyssa Wampler, Mathew Messner, Falisha, Shane Mathews of Ashlee Dick, AJ, Bella Messner, Isabella, Richard Putman, Donovin Peterson, Jayden, Cameron, Austin, Bryson Putman, Olivia Putman, Josh and Caleb Putman.
