He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Lynch and Helen Lynch; his wife Patricia Lynch; and his sisters, Terry Frohriep (Richard) and Judy James (William).
He is survived by: his children, John Lynch (Kim), Judy Lynch and Susan Lynch Near (Bob); his granddaughters, Marla Boyd-Atkinson (Daniel), Christina Romano, Whitney Lynch (Derick), Hannah Stimson (Jeff), Alexandra Hohn (Adam) and Leah Near (Joe); and his brother-in-law Jerry Holmes. He is also survived by one great grandson.
