He is survived by: his father Detroit Lions; his wife Martha; his daughter-in-law Kamilla Schimke (Tolo); his grandsons, Zachary Schimke and Jacob Schimke; his great grandchildren, Ava Schimke and Skyler Schimke; and his brother John Schimke. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
