With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Russell Trout of Onekama, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on November 16, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marvin Trout and Virginia Woodard Trout. He is survived by: his son Thomas R. Trout (Susanne); his wife Alaina Trout; his son Dr. James Trout (Maryam); his sister Deborah; his grandchildren, Sofia Trout, Jay Trout, Ethan Trout, Shamus Trout and Oscar Trout; and his nieces, Melissa Foster and Laura Foster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
