He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marvin Trout and Virginia Woodard Trout. He is survived by: his son Thomas R. Trout (Susanne); his wife Alaina Trout; his son Dr. James Trout (Maryam); his sister Deborah; his grandchildren, Sofia Trout, Jay Trout, Ethan Trout, Shamus Trout and Oscar Trout; and his nieces, Melissa Foster and Laura Foster.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
