He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Carroll (Vera) and Mary Jane Skimin (Bill). He is survived by: his wife Irene Nelson; his children, Darwin Carroll (Carla), Tom Carroll (Deb) and Sue Frutchey (Mark); his son-in-law Rick Johnson; his siblings, Sharon Anderson (Duane) and Eric (Polly); his daughter Laurie Johnson; and his stepchildren, Gary Collins and Kathryn Collins. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 nephews and 2 nieces.
