He was predeceased by: his wife Twila Romaine Isiminger; his sisters, Cecile Minniear and Sharon Alfsen; his sons-in-law, James Andrew Byrley and Raymond Gordier; his parents, Leonard C. LaFave and Effie LaFave Brooks; and his stepfather Linn Brooks.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marcy Lynn Gordier of Onaway and Sheri Diane LaFave of Onaway; his grandchildren, Sarah Byrley of Onaway, Kristina Romaine Tulgetske (Arthur) of Onaway and Andrew LaFave (Alejandra) of Sebring, Florida; his great grandchildren, MicahJames Andrew, Elyzabeth Romaine, Giselle, Alexis Twila, Onaka and Arthur "Freddie"; his brother Larry LaFave (Betty) of Onaway; his friend Charlotte Streeter of Tower; his son-in-law Don Wiggins; his grandson Edward "Red" Caston; and also Larry LaFave. He is also survived by his daughters, grandchildren, siblings, and nieces and nephews.
