It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harold R. Schmidt of Onaway, Michigan, who passed away on November 18, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Schmidt (Roberts) and Henry Schmidt; and his siblings, John Schmidt, Jim Schmidt, Dorothy Peters Hawley, Janet Prichard Johnson and Marilynn McCumber Webster.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Schmidt; his daughter Beth (Chuck Starks); his siblings, Carol Shafto and Ray Schmidt (Kate Smith); his sisters-in-law, Marie Schmidt, Judy Hutchins and Cynthia Wehde; and his grandson Julian. He is also survived by 19 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chagnon Funeral Home (20742 State St, Onaway, MI 49765). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
