He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Ganske and Audrey Ganske (O'Connor); and his siblings, Cheryl Clark and Patrick. He is survived by: his wife Wendy J. Winans of Black Lake; his daughters, Jessica (Kyle) and Maureen; his grandchildren, Lilyanne, Sidney, Penelopy and Sebastian; and his siblings, Gerald (Peggy) of Black Lake, Geraldine Tulgetske of Holly, Janet Gaines (Dave) of Clarkston and Patricia Davison (Tom) of Florida.
