He was predeceased by: his parents, Fernando Canales and Livrada Canales (Garcia). He is survived by: his wife Evelyn of Barnhart Lake; his children, Brenda Canales of Grand Rapids, David (Rebecca) of Fort Wayne and Mike (Donna) of Mackinaw City; his grandchildren, Megan, Nicholas, Joshua, Kayla and Gideon; his great grandchildren, Brayden and Mason; and his sisters, Elva Canales of Napoleon, Yolanda Sustaita of Auburn, Ayden "Peggy" Marroquin (Carlos) of Toledo and Mary Sanchez (Mike) of Defiance, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
