He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. and Freda E. Murphy (Heisler); his brothers, Leon Murphy and Lawerence Murphy (Charlene); his grandson Jeremy Murphy; and his sister-in-law Sharon Murphy.
He is survived by: his spouse Patricia Mae Henry; his children, Brian Murphy, Brenda Blauwiekel (Peter) and Denise Murphy; his grandchildren, Jessica Darrow (Joshua), Beth Gruden (Chad) and Joseph Blauwiekel (Elizabeth); and his great grandchildren, Emma Darrow, Avery Darrow, Adalee Gruden and Chandler Gruden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
