She was predeceased by: her mother Thelma Pennington (Lockard); her sons, Andrew Means and Jason Means; her husband Elden Ripley; and her father William E. Pennington.
She is survived by: her son Tim Means; her stepson James Ripley; and her siblings, Elizabeth Ferrell, Frederick Pennington and Dwight Pennington. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Pace Center of Albion.
