He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Evert and Nina Evert (Smith); his brothers, David, Paul and Ed; and his grandson David Evert II.
He is survived by: his children, Regina Winegar of Charlotte, Jonathan Evert of Charlotte, Rhonda Anderson of Charlotte, Jennifer Evert of Bellevue, David Evert (Holly) of Olivet, Erica Swift (Kurt) of Olivet and Emily Evert (Ryan Smith) of Charlotte; his brother Raymond Evert (Sandy) of Grand Ledge; his sister-in-law Ella Evert of Charlotte; and his close friend Mike Root. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
