It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Thayer of Olivet, Michigan, born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on August 23, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Thayer and Gertrude Thayer (Butler). He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Troy Thayer and Connie Tobias; his stepson Ben Nelson (Carol); and his sisters, Ruth "Dolly" Finney (Dan) and Nancy L. Gardenhouse. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
