He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Goostrey and Ida Goostrey (Nowland); and his children, Steven Hammond, Dawn Hammond and Gayle Hammond.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Dahlem; his children, Lynn Goostrey of Hastings, Karen Morehouse (Randy McConnell) of Charlotte, Ronald Goostrey (Laura) of Charlotte, Lori Audie (James) of Huntsville and Doug Hammond of Detroit; his daughters-in-law, Karen Hammond-Schriner, Nancy Wilson and Sandra Hammond; and his siblings, Charles Goostrey (Louise) of Kalamazoo, Evelyn White, Betty Lewis, Louis and Jack Goostrey. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
