It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew William Riipi of Okemos, Michigan, born in Hancock, Michigan, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Riipi and Mildred Riipi (Lexson) of Liminga; his siblings, Rich Riipi, Alfred Dawe and Elsa Strayer (Riipi); and his brother-in-law Jeff Strayer.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Riipi (Karinen); his daughter Erin Riipi; his daughter-in-law Mary Gallas; his sister-in-law Georgia Riipi (Hainault); his nieces and nephews, Lauren Strayer, Adam Strayer, Linnea Riipi, Ron Scheiding, Sonja (Riipi), Cal Dellies, Ryan and Sherida Riipi (Wilson); and his great-nephews, Austin, Ian, Owen, Theo, Nash and Quinn.
