Gladys Lorraine Merkle Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gladys Lorraine Merkle of Okemos, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 14, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dart and Orilla Dart (Muchler); her son Christopher Merkle; and her siblings, Shirley Dart, Dorothy Wolfe, Robert Dart, Donald Dart, Betty Johnson, Joanne Wakeman, Duane Dart, Ralph Dart and Russell Dart.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Merkle; her daughter Bethany Bullion (Eric); her daughter-in-law Jean Merkle; her stepchildren, Jerry Merkle Jr., Laura Skidmore and Cathy Revere; her brothers, Harold Dart (Wanda) and Kenny Dart (Norajane); and her sisters-in-law, Pam Dart and Carole Dart. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
