He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Schmiege and Wilma Schmiege. He is survived by: his wife Carol (Bleisner); his daughter Lacy Pittelli (Philip); his grandchildren, Tynan of South Deerfield, Massachusetts and Liam Pittelli of South Deerfield, Massachusetts; and his siblings, Paul Schmiege (Karen) of Ohio and Glen Schmiege (Beth) of Madison, Wisconsin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
